The program for this facility called for a 114,000sf building designed to accommodate warehouse functions, office space, assembly functions, and flexible space. The challenge was to integrate a “low-cost” building type into an attractive HP campus consisting of more costly building types. The complete process from conception through occupancy was to be accomplished in a 10-month period. Several building types were analyzed and priced. A metal building system was selected as the most viable means to accommodate all of the various requirements. The resulting building was occupied on time and fit well on the existing campus.
