Project Description

A modest ranch style house with several haphazard additions occupies a magnificent hilltop in Northern Sonoma County.  Several rooms had been finished in redwood, the beams had been carved and the surrounding landscaping was both mature and unique.  The new owners sought an architecture which would fit the unique site, reflect the best of the special architectural heritage of this region, and enhance an informal lifestyle focused upon living, dining, and cooking in one room.  What emerged was an informal grouping of bungalows in the craftsman tradition encompassing a series of outdoor gardens and courts.
