CONFIDENTIAL CLIENT – ADMINISTRATIVE HEADQUARTERS NAPA & SANTA ROSA
The 100,000 square foot administrative offices and branch provide flexibility and room for growth while celebrating many of the organizational and member values. As a response to local need, the facility incorporates a large dividable 500+ person conference room, public facing café, and a branch to serve members. To reduce surface parking, the facility capitalized on the slope of the site to incorporate parking below the building while still maintaining walkable entries. To meet Federal Aviation Administration reduced height requirements, the building strategically designed a ring of offices that also house the primary overhead utilities to reduce the standard floor-to-floor heights without sacrificing the clear volume and quality of space above the open workstations. Many sustainable features are incorporated in the facility for both members and employees.
There are many green/sustainable features to the project, starting with selecting a site pre-designated for development and in proximity to multiple forms of alternative transportation. Most of the office wings are only about 80 feet wide allowing natural light to penetrate deep into the facility from multiple sides. The roof lines were set up for photovoltaic panels. The mechanical equipment and electrical lighting are both highly efficient. Many of the key materials have high recycled content. The site was designed with ample EV charging stations for both members and staff. Showers and bike storage have been provided to encourage a healthy and environmentally friendly commute.
