KAREN PREGLER TO RETIRE FROM AXIA
AXIA Architects spent a day at Safari West to celebrate Karen Pregler’s 23 years with AXIA. Karen will retire from AXIA Architects at the end of 2015. She spent the majority of her career with AXIA Architects and its predecessor firm, Witter Jefferies Architects, becoming a partner in 2001.
After graduating from Berkeley in 1976, Karen worked for various architectural firms including, MEA Group, Lawry Coker DeSliva Architects, and Robert Anderson. Karen landed at Witter Jeffries Architects in 1992, focusing on education projects. Her eleven year commitment to complete Ukiah High School Modernization was a highlight of her career.
Karen has served on the boards of the AIA and CSI local professional organizations.
Karen and husband Bill plan on traveling in 2016, with trips to Costa Rica and the Hudson River Valley. She is also looking forward to spending more time with her twin granddaughters, who live in the bay area. Karen will miss her wonderful AXIA family, but is looking forward to slowing down a bit to enjoy the next chapter in her life.
AXIA Architects will miss Karen immensely and look forward to seeing photos from her travels and life’s adventures.
