Enphase Energy

Enphase Energy leased approximately 100,000 square feet for labs and offices in northern Petaluma.  The existing buildings were in poor shape and required a complete gut. The CEO valued open office space, a collaborative environment, high ceilings, and a comfortable setting for the employees. AXIA spent time in the Enphase Energy office and labs observing the fast-paced constant motion of the company team. AXIA’s design approach emphasized transparency, wide-open dynamic spaces, and lots of nooks for collaborative brainstorming. AXIA opened the ceilings, removed all walls except for the core and perimeter, brought in sustainable materials, created clusters of informal furniture, and incorporated lots of glass. The fast track project moved the client in ten months after AXIA commenced schematic design.
