Sonoma Residence

This home is situated on a 145-acre ranch on the slopes above the town of Sonoma.  It is composed of the main house with a guest wing, an office and garage, a small guest house, a winery, a pool house/spa, and an extensive wine cave. Key rooms and trellis areas take advantage of the spectacular views over the Valley of the Moon and the San Francisco Bay in the distance.  The architectural character reflects Tuscan and Hacienda influences, but more significantly, every detail reflects the very personal and unique input of the owner. His involvement and approach to the design and construction process were very personal and unique. The look is not highly resolved or designed, but more indigenous, evolved and remodeled over time. This is a unique project, unique in the character of the property and the client.
